We've always wanted to use our back deck for entertainment, and an awful lot of our friends, being our age, are very sun sensitive. [This awning] makes it so much nicer. Add to that, I don't care what you make your deck out of, they tend to be kind of hot. And it's all radiant, you add an awning, it's been absolutely fabulous.
Why Humphrys Awnings?
We had four companies come to us, and in the other companies we found the thing we could live with. But your company was the one that had matierial that went with the color scheme we already had. We knew it was going to look nice, we'd seen other awnings around the neighborhood that looked nice, but this one came out a whole lot nicer. I think we had awning envy in the neighborhood.
Humphrys' prices were among the absolute best of the group. Looking at the other people who were offering, Humphrys Awnings had the same or better warranty. And we did not have a conversation about what was wrong with the other people. I really get discouraged when the selling point that someone is making, no matter what it is for, is 'we're not as bad as the other guy'. I don't consider that a selling point. Negative advertising always puts people off.

We also had good followup with Patty, and the funniest installers. They were a stitch, we really had a pleasure having them here. They really knew what they were doing, and there was a group here that was training. That was great because there was lots of good discussion amongst them to make sure they were really happy with what they were doing, so that went really well.
Tyrell, the lead installer, was just absolutely a champ. He gave us his mobile number in case we had any questions. It turned out the cable he gave us was just a little short, and so Patty came by on Friday, and swapped that out. No drama.
We are very happy, it exceeded expectations. I don't know what else you could ask for.
Don't wait as long as we did. I have done this so many times in my life and so often kicked myself. I get the good table saw, see what it does, and think 'I could have had this 5 years sooner', with the amount of effort it would have saved. Or, gee whiz, we fixed the kitchen up the way we liked it, and we love it so much, and why did we wait?
And here again, we've been in this house for 8 years, and we finally thought 'lets put an awning on'. And here, we could have done this 8 years ago, and enjoyed it the whole time.
